B.Tech. Eligibility and Selection

Eligibility towards Engineering Admissiotns – Undergraduate

  • A Pass in Higher Secondary(+2 / Intermediate) of State Board, CBSE,
    Matric and any other Board of Education recognized by State and
    Central Government with an aggregate of 50% and above in
    (Mathematics/Biology), Physics and Chemistry.
  • Candidates appearing in MPC are eligible to apply for all the
    B.Tech. Engineering programmes.
  • Candidates appearing in BPC are eligible to apply only for B.Tech.
    Bio-stream Engineering programmes (B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Food
    Technology).
  • Students holding High School Diploma issued by Northwest
    Accreditation Commission – US (NWAC-US) are eligible by providing an
    equivalent certificate issued by the association of Indian
    University (AIU) for B.Tech. courses.
  • ‘NIOS’ candidates are eligible to apply.
  • For Lateral Entry: Students with an average of 60% marks in
    pre-final and final semester put together in a three-year Diploma
    Courses in the relevant area are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks scored in KUEE,
a list will be released by the university on the website after the
counseling process.

  • + 2 Marks, the aggregate percentage across ALL subjects would be
    considered.
  • In case of states releasing in grades, the overall / cumulative GPA percentage
    would be considered.
CAT–07: Sports Scholarships
❖ Scholarship is eligible as per university norms.
GATE Scholarships – M.Tech programmes
❖ GATE qualified students would receive a stipend of Rs. 12,500/- per month.
PG – CGPA (or) % – SCHOLARSHIP: CAT – 09
CGPA or % in Degree Scholarship eligible for 2 years
CGPA / % Above 8 or > 80 % 50 %
7 – 7.9 or 70 – 79 % 25 %
  • For PG programs, the aggregate marks (or) CGPA in all semesters would be
    considered
Notes:

  • The scholarships are decided at the time of admission and will be valid
    throughout the duration of the programme.
  • For the approval of scholarships, the attested copies of the documents to be
    uploaded in the portal.
  • Scholarships cannot be changed / added once the student has completed a
    minimum of one semester in the programme.
  • Soft skills and Library (Miscellaneous Fees) – Rs. 12,000/- per year.
    Applicable for B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, BPT, B.Sc
    (Nursing), All Allied Health Science Courses, B.Sc (Agriculture,
    Horticulture), B.A (LLB), B.Com (LLB) and B.Sc (Forensic Science).
    Rs.5000 per year is applicable for All arts & Science Courses.
  • Scholarship will be applicable for 4 years (B.Tech) & 3 years for lateral, 5
    years (B.Arch), 3 years (Arts & Science), 2 years (P.G).
  • Once a student decides to change his / her programme of study, the
    scholarship stands forfeited and student will not be eligible for scholarship for
    the new programme.

Campus Visit

Welcome to the eco-friendly and integrated green campus located on the panoramic foothills of the Southern part of Western Ghats of Tamilnadu. The University houses in itself all that is essential for moulding the young children entrusted to her care into technically and ethically sound nation builders. It is a lovely sight to see the visitors from the Western Ghats—visitors like the Peacocks, the Peahens, batches of Deer, Bison, Wild Boars, Hedgehogs, to name a few. The presence of a sizable number of International communities on campus helps prevail a multicultural atmosphere.

Residential Life of the campus has seven Multi-storey Hostels separate for men and women, a Guest House and Staff Quarters. Facilities

FAQ’s

provide two bedded and three bedded hostel accommodation with all standard civic amenities and common cooking and laundry areas. You should submit your request as soon as possible, because requests are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis, and rooms fill up quickly.

Admission decisions for Master Degree Programmes are based on scholastic aptitude, performance score in selection rounds and suitability to take up the desired course provided the candidate meets the eligibility condition as mentioned in the brochures in terms of qualifying aggregate percentage/marks/grades in any Bachelor Degree of any Indian or Foreign University.

Centre for admissions remains open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. , Monday through Saturday, with the exception of major Indian holidays.

Final year students can apply if they have fulfilled the criteria of MAT Score, even when the Marks cards are not received. They can apply with the MAT Score and I & II Yr Marks cards.

After getting the information regarding the courses and fulfilling the eligibility criteria, the student can apply for any number of courses by paying required registration amount for reserving the seat

A Student should check if he meets the eligibility criteria for the course he wishes to pursue and submit Xerox copies (photocopies) of all his testimonials for verification.
