With 100+ international MoUs, KARE has a strong global presence. Our International Relations Office connects students and faculty with leading universities worldwide across regions including the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and South America.

Together, we strive to build an inclusive and sustainable global future.

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the following foreign universities.

Under these MoUs Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education students can spend one or two semesters (Semester Abroad Programme) in the selected partner Universities to get the international exposure. The students undergoing this Semester Abroad Programme has to pay the regular tuition fees to Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education only Travel and living expenditures during their stay at foreign University have to be taken care by the students. There are chances to avail the exchange student scholarships given by the respective countries. In the previous semesters the following students have under gone semester abroad programmes in various foreign Universities.

Welcome to Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE)

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), established in 1984, is a premier Deemed-to-be University located at the scenic foothills of the Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu, India. The institution is accredited with an ‘A++’ grade by NAAC and several programs are accredited by NBA and ABET, reflecting its global academic standards.

KARE offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs in Engineering, Science, Technology, and Humanities. The university collaborates with leading industries such as TCS, IBM, Siemens, and Bosch to provide industry-oriented education and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.

With strong research capabilities supported by national and international projects, modern infrastructure, and highly qualified faculty, KARE promotes innovation, skill development, and holistic student growth through academics, research, and extracurricular activities.

  • Academic Visit – University of Cagliari, Italy.
  • Dr. V. Arumuga Prabu, Dean, School of Mechanical, Aero, Auto and Civil Engineering & Professor (Mechanical) at KARE, visited the University of Cagliari (UNICA), Italy, from 28 July 2025 to 02 August 2025. During the visit, he interacted with faculty and researchers and delivered seminars on sustainable composites, contributing to academic exchange and exploring potential research collaborations.

  • We are proud to share that our faculty member, Dr. Vishnuvarthanan Mayakrishnan, has taken up a prestigious position as Scientist (Brain Pool Program) at Yonsei University, South Korea. He joined the university in November 2025 and is currently contributing as a full-time researcher.

Hostel Facilities

One of the key contributors to an intensive learning experience is living in campus. Kalasalingam has a residential facility on campus for the students. A well-furnished and artistically designed hostels with separate buildings for boys and girls has been constructed with a view to provide best possible facilities to the students.
All the Hostels are located inside the same campus. A separate international hostel is also available. Students can opt for rooms that offer Air Conditioned single or double occupancy rooms with Attached bath rooms as per student’s own need.

The rooms are bright, spacious, comfortable, clean and airy with necessary accessories. All hostels are with WiFi internet access. Hostel has a facility like RO water, water cooler, a common room with TV, 24 hrs power backup, which creates a homely atmosphere.

The hostel also has a general store, gymnasium and beauty parlor for the girls and boys.

We are facilitating the students by offering exclusive Laundry & dry-cleans Services in line with international standards.

Food @ Kalasalingam

Both Veg and Non Veg are served. The menu is prepared by the students and food in the hostels is catered by Sodexo, a multinational organization, with expertise in serving a wide variety of national and international cuisines.

Morning – Coffee/Tea, Healthy Biscuits, Wheat Marie Biscuits, Breakfast – Cinnamon Rolls, Toasted Bread+Butter+Jam, Croissants, Danish pastry, Cornflakes, Hot Milk, Fruits (Whole, Fruit Salad, Cuts Fruits) Coffee.

Lunch – Garden fresh Salad, Sprout Salad, Beans Salad, Tossed Salad, French Bean Salad, Kachumber Salad, Herb Rice, Veg / Chicken Stew, Oven Roast vegetables, Oven Chicken, Curd / Yogurt.

Evening Snacks – Flavoured Cold Milk, Short Eats / Sandwich
