In this programme, the technicians get trained to provide comprehensive renal care to the
patient. The undergraduates Dialysis Technologist works as a member of a multidisciplinary
team along with the Nephrologist and Clinicians to plan and implement the prescription for
performing all the different modalities of Renal Care.
This course will train the undergraduates with great knowledge and apply the principles of
dialysis and the skills necessary to give safe and effective care to the individual undergoing
haemodialysis treatments.
To provide a blend of theoretical learning, practical training, and clinical exposure, ensuring
that students are well-prepared to meet the healthcare industry’s challenges.
B. Sc. Renal Dialysis Technology (RDT) is a Four Years undergraduate programme designed
to prepare students with the knowledge, and competencies required to excel in the field of
dialysis. Students will learn about renal physiology, dialysis procedures, equipment
operation, patient care, and infection control.
Our comprehensive curriculum covers a wide range of skills including preparing patients,
monitoring and operating dialysis machineries and also for preparing post- treatment
reports.
At the time of admission, a candidate should have successfully passed the examination
conducted by a Board/ University at the +2 level of schooling with Pass marks (50% in
Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Diploma in their relevant field (either through formal
schooling for 12 years, or through open school system) or its equivalent.
