Fine Arts Club

The Fine Arts Club at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) is a dynamic platform that nurtures creativity and artistic expression among students. The club is structured into eight specialized teams—Dance, Fashion, Music, Variety, Arts, Media, Literature, and Gaming—each catering to different aspects of fine arts and cultural activities. Through workshops, competitions, and performances, the club provides students with opportunities to showcase their talents, collaborate with like-minded peers, and enhance their artistic skills. It serves as a hub for fostering innovation, cultural appreciation, and entertainment, making it a vibrant part of campus life at KARE.

Mirth 2k23 starts (30-12-2023)

Welcome to MIRTH 2k23 New Year’s Edition, an exhilarating intra-college event presented by PYROS, the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Fine Art Club. On the eve of December 30th , 2023, the campus came alive with the spirit of celebration and creativity as students and enthusiasts gathered to usher in the New Year spectacularly.

MIRTH, a longstanding tradition hosted by PYROS, once again took centre stage, promising an unforgettable evening filled with a kaleidoscope of talents, artistic expressions, and a vibrant showcase of the creative spirit within the Kalasalingam community. This special New Year’s edition brought a fresh twist to the festivities, combining the energy of MIRTH with the anticipation of a new beginning.

The campus pulsated with excitement as participants from various disciplines showcased their talents across a spectrum of events, promising entertainment, and cultural enrichment. MIRTH 2k23 New Year’s Edition served as a platform for students to come together, celebrate their diverse talents, and welcome the approaching year with enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of community.

As we reflect on the memorable moments created during this event, we invite you to join us in reliving the magic of MIRTH 2k23 New Year’s Edition—a testament to the artistic vitality and collaborative spirit that defines the Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education Fine Arts Club. More than 600 students participated in various events.


Resin Workshop, 03.08.2024

The Pyros Fine Arts Club conducted a successful Resin Workshop on 03-08-2024 at TIFAC CORE building, attracting a diverse group of participants including students and hobbyists. The workshop led by external instruction Mr. A. Murugan, and co-ordinated by Ms. R. Sri Dharshini [Arts Team Head] aimed to introduce attendees to the art of resin pouring and crafting.

Participants were engaged through a structured programme that included an introduction to resin art, a detailed demonstration by the instruction, a hands-on session, and a concluding Q&A segment. Techniques such as resin mixing, colour blending, and embedding objects in resin were covered, providing attendees with practical skills and creative inspiration.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the instructor’s expertise and the workshop’s organization. Attendees expressed satisfaction with the skills required and opportunity to create unique resin art pieces. The event not only achieved its objectives of skill enhanced and creative expression but also fostered a sense of community among art enthusiasts.

Encouraged by the success of this event, the Pyros Fine Arts Club plans to organize more
such workshops in the future, continuing to nurture artistic talents and community
engagement.


MIRTH2K24 (04th and 05th, October 2024)

Fine Arts Pyros Club of KARE has organized ‘MIRTH 2K24’ an annual inter-school cultural
event on 04 th and 05 th October, 2024 at Dr. K. S. Krishnan Auditorium. The programme was
inaugurated by the Honourable Chancellor Dr. K. Sridharan. During the first day, the students
performed south Indian folk events, viz., Bharathanatyam, Oyilattam, Kathakali, Chenda
Melam, Thappattam, Silambam and Mayilattam. Apart from this, the students showcased
their talents through Fashion Show, Gramiya Padalgal, Group Dance, etc. Students from 13
Schools of the University were actively participated in 22 arts and cultural events. Among
them, School of Bio, Chemical and Processing Engineering (SBCE) won the overall
championship with 505 points and School of Computing stood second with 345 points. The
valedictory function of MIRTH2K24 was held on 05 th October, 2024. Honourable Chancellor
Dr. K. Sridharan and Vice President Dr. K. Shasi Anand distributed the certificates and
trophies to the winners of various events. Pro Shows were also organized in the afternoon in
both the days. Dr. A. Samson Nesaraj, Director (Student Affairs), Mr. S. J. Kabilan, Assistant
Director (Student Affairs) and Dr. J. Pradeep Kandhasamy, Faculty Co-ordinator, Fine Arts
Club have made all the arrangements.


International Halloween Day (10th November, 2024)

     The Fine Arts Club – Pyros, KARE organized a memorable Halloween Day event on Sunday,
November 10, 2024 at KARE campus in the Dr.K.S. Krishnan Auditorium. For this occasion,
a special haunted house was built, designed like a maze with a single-entry point and a
separate exit. Inside the haunted house, a spooky atmosphere was carefully created with
effects like flashing lights, smoke, coffin boxes, mummies, and creepy sounds. People
dressed as ghosts and other frightening characters to surprise and scare anyone who walked
through. The maze was full of jump scares and dark corners, making each turn a mystery.
Students who entered felt a mix of fear and excitement as they made their way through the
maze. It was a unique experience that left everyone with unforgettable memories! Mr. T.K.
Sreelekha, Programme Officer, Ms. M. M. Sangeetha, Programme Officer and Dr. J.
Pradheep Kandhasamy, Club Co-ordinator, Fine Arts Club made all the arrangements.


Sparkz 2K25 (Fine Arts Club) (14th and 15th, February, 2025)

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) successfully hosted its Annual
Cultural Fest, Sparkz 2K25, on February 14–15, 2025, at the University campus. This vibrant
two-day extravaganza featured 52 events across Dance, Music, Dramatics, Fashion,
Quizzards, Gaming, Art, Literature, Media, and Fun Events. The fest was graced by
renowned celebrities, including Mr. Raanav (Actor, Bigg Boss) and Ms. Ananya Nagalla
(Actress) on Day 1, with an electrifying musical concert coordinated by Mr. Premji and team,
featuring dynamic drum performances by Mr. Kumaran, Mr. Shenbagaraj, and Ms. Haripriya.
On Day 2, Mr. Rayan (Actor, Bigg Boss), Ms. Divya Bharathi (Actress), Mr. Karthik Yogi
(Film Director), and Mr. Chandru Anbazhagan (Writer) interacted with students, making the
evening even more special, followed by an energetic DJ night by Mr. Suman and team.

The Overall Championship was won by Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi, while
the Runner-up Trophy was secured by Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology,
Virudhunagar.

Honourable Chancellor, along with Dr. S. Shasi Anand, Vice President, and Dr. S.
Narayanan, Vice Chancellor.

The entire event was meticulously coordinated by the Director (Student Affairs) and team,
ensuring smooth execution and an unforgettable experience for all. A heartfelt thank you to
all students, faculty members, and clubs for their immense dedication in making Sparkz 2K25
a memorable celebration, and congratulations to all participants for their outstanding
performances.
