About Centre for Learning Technology

Centre for Learning Technology (CLT) is dedicated to add value to the teaching learning
practices through innovative initiatives in teaching practices. One of the important activities of the centre is to conduct week long faculty development programs and short term faculty training programs for the faculty members. Other activities of the CLT include carrying out new initiatives in pedagogy, integrating ICT into teaching-learning process and to invite
experts from India and abroad to deliver lectures on relevant topics. The centre actively
promotes Project Based Learning (PBL). The centre is actively supported by the Indo
Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) through its Member
Relationship Coordinator (MRC) scheme. The centre also undertakes facilitating students
training in niche area.

VISION

To promote effective participation of faculty members and students in the teaching-learning-
evaluation process.

MISSION

To train faculty members in digital pedagogy and use of ICT

To equip faculty members in niche technology

To devise innovative evaluation methods to meet the spirit of OBE.

Objectives

To organize two workshops every year for skill upgradation of faculty members in use of
ICT.

To perform TNA and organize FDPs/FTPs to promote continued development of technical competence of faculty members in niche areas.

To collaborate with industries and national level training institutes/organizations on technology for teaching.

To support faculty members to participate in off campus programs

To facilitate student training in the niche areas.

Innovative Initiatives

1. Flexibility in Assessment System to meet OBE requirement

Faculty members are given the option to adopt various assessment techniques such as
assessment based on course level mini project, design/development of a prototype, seminars,
evaluation by industry personnel, peer evaluation, field visits, quizzes, open book tests etc.

2. Students participation in implementing OBE

An innovative initiative is in progress wherein students do self appraisal in the OBE
parameters, based on which mechanisms are devised to achieve the OBE goal.
