Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education offers M.Sc (Computer Science) is being offered by the department in the year of 2018. The department has strong commitment to a high standard of academic excellence and aims to provide the sound foundation of theory and concepts in computer science and expose them to the forefront of the developments in the field of computing. The department has experienced faculty members with research interests and expertise in thrust areas of Computer Science.

Why M.Sc. – Computer Science?

M.Sc (Computer Science) programme is rigorous in the implementation of current IT-related technologies and skills in demand. It enables the integration of theory and practice to build a strong foundation for professional employment or research in the discipline. The department has qualified faculty who teach specialized areas like Network Security, Web Technology, Database Management Systems, Java Programming, Visual Programming, Data Mining and Computer Networks. Being a pervasive discipline for all science courses it encourages students to pursue various inter-disciplinary interests.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates who have passed B.Sc Examination from science stream with relevant subject are eligible to apply.

SELECTION PROCESS

Usually, no entrance examination is conducted for the admission to M.Sc. Computer Sciences. Admission is done directly on the basis of merit in the B.Sc Graduates. Aspirants who qualify the B.Sc in Science Streams examination will be eligible for admission. based on intake the institute will conduct personal interview rounds for the eligible candidates. Further, the shortlisted candidates have to be physically present at the time of seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.

Step 2: Filling Online Application Form
Login with your registration details sent to your Email / Mobile number.
Provide all relevant details carefully, before submission.
Step 3: Photo and Signature Upload
Photograph Image: A Recent Passport Size Photograph ( in .jpg format with Maximum size 80 KB).
Signature Image: Size should be between 10KB to 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM.
**For Photograph, the background must be plain white or off-white. The Head must be directly facing the camera with your full face in view. No hats or head coverings, unless you wear them daily for religious purposes. Your full face must be visible and your head covering cannot cast shadows on your face.
Step 4: Mode Of Payment
Online Mode through Netbanking / Credit / Debit card/UPI. Application Cost (Rs: 600) – for General Candidates.
NRI students – USD 35 can pay through online.

This moulded them to develop 10 innovative products in 5 years. They have also got 23 patents and 55 publications under their name. The students have done wonders in the field of extracurricular activities apart from academics. The students took part in many National and International Events” and bagged lots of medals. The students of B.tech- Mechanical Engineering are offered a One Credit Course from the Industry and International Professors. The department invites resource persons from industries and abroad to handle one credit course in order to raise awareness and bring industrial skills to our students (15hours).
Most of the students from the B.Tech Mechanical programme doing their final year Project/ internships at industries/ International universities for a semester.
