Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education offers B.Sc. (Hons.) in Information Technology in 2021 with the aim of meeting the global needs of the industrial world. This programme seeks to attract talented students from around the country for quality undergrad education. This programme is designed to produce IT professionals with the most up-to-date technological and professional expertise to meet the industry’s demands. Today’s global IT field is quite complex and dynamic in nature, to become a successful person, an Information Technology graduate should have realistic programming capabilities. The B.Sc. (Hons.) (Information Technology) programme strives to shape outstanding computer professionals with ethical and human values to reshape nation’s destiny. The programme’s goal is to prepare young minds for the challenging opportunities in the IT industry by instilling in them a global awareness that is rooted in Indian soil, nurtured and supported by experts in the field. The curriculum is intended to address current industrial trends. Students are directed in academia, higher studies and placement by a well-qualified and committed faculty. The department provides state of the art laboratories for the students with the aim to explore the mathematical structure to develop powerful techniques for writing and reasoning computer programs. The laboratory gives hands-on experience in developing programs for Windows as well as Linux platforms with individual computer systems are available for the students. All the systems are well connected with the Network and UPS systems. The students of B.Sc. (Hons.)- IT programme are offered to study and learn different programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java, Visual Studio. NET, PHP and R Programming.

7. Ability to select appropriate techniques to tackle and solve problems in the discipline of information security management.
This moulded them to develop 10 innovative products in 5 years. They have also got 23 patents and 55 publications under their name. The students have done wonders in the field of extracurricular activities apart from academics. The students took part in many National and International Events” and bagged lots of medals. The students of B.tech- Mechanical Engineering are offered a One Credit Course from the Industry and International Professors. The department invites resource persons from industries and abroad to handle one credit course in order to raise awareness and bring industrial skills to our students (15hours).
Most of the students from the B.Tech Mechanical programme doing their final year Project/ internships at industries/ International universities for a semester.
I take this opportunity to thank my professors and mentors of KARE who showed me the path to reach heights. I graduated from KARE during 2013 with not only academics but also with skills which is very much required by the Industries. Our institution has a wonderful curricula which focuses both on CGPA and Non-CGPA as well, which fired the inherent design skills in me. The quality faculty and the evergreen environment made me to grow further to achieve many laurels in my career.
