Overview

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education offers B.Sc Computer Science (Cognitive Systems) in 2021 with the aim of meeting the global needs of the industrial world. This programme seek to attract talented students from around the country for quality undergrad education. This programme are designed to produce IT professionals with the most up-to-date technological and professional expertise to meet the industry’s demands. Today’s global IT field is quite complex and dynamic in nature, to become a successful person, and Computer Science graduate should have realistic programming capabilities. The main objective of this course to understand how technological advancements impact society and the social, legal, ethical and cultural ramifications of computer technology and their usage. The course is pioneering in nature and it was started by having a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
The curriculum of this collaborative degree program aims to ensure that the students graduating from the program not only know the core topics of Computer Science but also develop a positive reception of Mathematics and Cognitive Thinking. The students are also exposed to advance topics such as Big Data Analytics, Machine/Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Robotic Process Automation, Software Testing, DevOps etc. to make them industry ready at the end of three years of study.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • To be eligible to enroll in for the B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science degree courses you need to clear the following eligibility criteria.
  • A Pass in Higher Secondary(+2 / Intermediate) of State Board, CBSE, any other Board of Education recognized by State and Central Government with an aggregate of 50% and above in (Mathematics/Biology), Physics and Chemistry.
  • Some even grant admission to students from different streams.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Usually, no entrance examination is conducted for the admission to B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science. Admission is done directly on the basis of merit in the 10+2 examination. Aspirants who qualify the 10+2 examination will be eligible for admission. based on intake the institute will conduct personal interview rounds for the eligible candidates. Further, the shortlisted candidates have to be physically present at the time of seat allotment, document verification, and fee payment.

    Step 1: Candidate Registration
  • Enter all the relevant information Carefully.
  • Registration details will be sent to your registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
  • Step 2: Filling Online Application Form
  • Login with your registration details sent to your Email / Mobile number.
  • Provide all relevant details carefully, before submission.
  • Step 3: Photo and Signature Upload
  • Photograph Image: A Recent Passport Size Photograph ( in .jpg format with Maximum size 80 KB).
  • Signature Image: Size should be between 10KB to 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM.
  • **For Photograph, the background must be plain white or off-white. The Head must be directly facing the camera with your full face in view. No hats or head coverings, unless you wear them daily for religious purposes. Your full face must be visible and your head covering cannot cast shadows on your face.
    Step 4: Mode Of Payment
  • Online Mode through Netbanking / Credit / Debit card/UPI. Application Cost (Rs: 600) – for General Candidates.
  • NRI students – USD 50 can pay through online.

1. Graduates of the program will become technically competent to pursue higher studies.

2. Graduates of the program will utilize modern and advanced technological tools for performing Investigation, analysis and synthesis by identifying various computer solutions.

5. Ability to work in teams to build software systems and apply the technologies in various fields of Computer Science, including Mobile applications, Web site development and management, databases, and computer networks.

6. Ability to select appropriate techniques to tackle and solve problems in the discipline of information security management.

7. Understand the basic concepts of system software, hardware and computer graphics.

Students Achievement

This moulded them to develop 10 innovative products in 5 years. They have also got 23 patents and 55 publications under their name. The students have done wonders in the field of extracurricular activities apart from academics. The students took part in many National and International Events” and bagged lots of medals. The students of B.tech- Mechanical Engineering are offered a One Credit Course from the Industry and International Professors. The department invites resource persons from industries and abroad to handle one credit course in order to raise awareness and bring industrial skills to our students (15hours).
Most of the students from the B.Tech Mechanical programme doing their final year Project/ internships at industries/ International universities for a semester.
